Intro to Agentic AI
There’s a lot of hype around automations, but the world is changing fast, and Anil suggest looking to Agentic AI as the future. AI agents can literally drive your screen, keyboard and mouse to run whole sequences of tasks. They’re useful for automating the simple, repetitive tasks you don’t have time for while you focus on higher value work. Agentic AI is the framework that coordinates multiple AI agents to achieve a more complex objective. While the early tools are still a bit clunky, Anil highlights how quickly AI is progressing and how powerful a single agent could soon become.

Anil uses the example of one of his clients. This client is doing R&D reports, Agentic AI can be self-running and updating itself with the latest revenue information and regulations. Another agent can run the marketing system for the accountancy practice. Through Agentic AI , the two agents are capable of interacting. The R&D agent can communicate to the marketing agent and the marketing agent can communicate to potential clients to say what services the firm provides.

Similarly to how a new employee needs to be onboarded, agents need to have a knowledge base of the business to operate. A knowledge base is essentially a database of facts, rules and relationships that an AI agent can access. Anil advises to start with chat bots and using a 90-day plan to build this knowledge up. This allows agents to understand complex queries, infer new knowledge, and make informed decisions. Anil also advises that these knowledge bases should be dynamic. They should update and expand over time to continuously improve performance of your AI agents.
