Do you want to truly transform your business and your life? Have you thought about this before, had ideas about making progress, but fell short on the result or fell short on delivery? This simple change that you can make as soon as you finish reading this post can change everything for you, your business and your loved ones.
This is a concept that I have learned from the legendary Dan Sullivan, founder of Strategic Coach and a man that has impacted thousands of lives.
Incremental thinking is dangerous. It feels safer because it is more realistic. It makes more sense. It is not going to upset the apple cart. Baby steps. We all know people who dreamed big and failed. Let’s play safe. Incremental thinking primarily asks what do I do next?
You need to ask bigger questions
Is it easier to grow your firm and double your income or is it easier to 10x your firm?
The moment you commit to 10xing your business, it changes your thinking, your innovation, your decision making, your communication and your actions.
When you commit to 10x, there is a level of intellectual and emotional engagement in you and those around you that changes. Once you make a 10x commitment, you will have to sort out what really matters leaving you to work on the things that are going to truly 10x your business. Everything else you will need to stop doing or delegate or outsource.
It really comes down to looking at everything through 1 filter. Will doing this thing lead me to 10xing my business or will it prevent me from 10xing my business. It becomes a binary decision – yes or no. Do I do this or do I not do it? Do we do this, or do we not do it?
What would happen if you committed to 10xing your business today? Your decisions, your actions, your thinking would change, and the current challenges you face would dissolve. 10x thinking will produce extraordinary results
What is the worst thing that can happen? You might fall short of 10x.
Do not fear big. Fear mediocrity
Only living big will let you experience your true potential in life and business. As the famed Apple advert proclaimed back in 1997 “People who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the only ones who do”.
