Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been running a free Practice Management Masterclass. You can access the recordings and the downloadable workbooks by clicking here .
We do this once a year and we share valuable ideas, content, tools and insights.

Lesson 1 – Stress and Taking Stock
We looked at some of the biggest challenges and the biggest opportunities that you face in your firm. This session included an honest self-assessment and benchmarking of you and your firm.
As part of this Lesson we looked at the opportunities and created a simplified Strategy in a Nutshell for your firm. We also looked at getting brutally honest about the real value of your time and I am not just talking about timesheets and what you do when you are in the office.

Lesson 2 – Killer Clients and the Business Transformer
In this session we built on what we covered in the first part of the Masterclass. It’s never too early to start planning your exit so we ran the numbers on what you need to generate to exit your business and retire in comfort. We also looked at Transforming 2023 in a practical exercise by looking back on 2022 and doing more of what is working and less of what isn’t, as well as adopting some new strategies and tactics for 2023.
One of the big things in this session was looking at your clients and identifying who are the clients you need to see less of, if anything at all and what clients do we need to see more of. Resources are limited and there’s only so many hours in the day.

Lesson 3 – Taking Control and Taking Ownership
Our third lesson in the masterclass was about taking control of your destiny:
·       Identifying where you really are.
·       Gaining clarity on where you want to be
·       Plotting the pathway to close the gap.
Everyone probably knows what they should be doing but there is a big difference between what we should be doing and what we do.

Lesson 3 is also about
·       Building morale based on your past achievements and where you have come from
·       Maintaining momentum in the areas that you are currently making progress
·       Creating the motivation you need to get to the next level
Based on the questions we were getting asked, we have decided to run a final 4th Bonus Session on Monday 20th of February.

Lesson 4 – Growing Something Different – Growing Something Better

Growth is not always about growing bigger, bigger, bigger. Growth can be about growing something better or growing something easier. In this session we’ll look at a simple system for attracting more ideal clients that any accountant can take and apply.
We’re also tackling the big one in terms of time. One of the biggest challenges facing accountants is time. This is not a one dimensional problem so we look at it from the many different angles that cause and contribute to the problem.
